Location: Hamhung city, South Hamhung province, DPRK

Types of business: bond processing, production of chemical goods and building materials, manufacturing of machinery.

It contains some parts of area in Tokphung dong, Haean district,Hamhung city that are located in downstream of the Songchon river that falls into the Hamhung Bay of the East Sea of Korea. The developing area of the first stage is 2.2㎢.

Hungnam port has processing capacity for bulk cargo of 3 million tons and  storage capacity of 8 000㎡ in area.

This region adjacent with Hungnam port is an industrial area of chemistry and manufacturing of large size machineries in Korea for a long time.

It is planning to build up industrial development zone majoring in bonded processing, production of chemical goods, catalytic, building materials and medicines, manufacturing of machinery and equipment by using this character.

Produced goods will be exported and ensure domestic demand.
