The Amnok River economic development zone contains some parts of Ryongun ri, Uiju county, North Phyongan Province.

It will be the agriculture and tourist development zone majoring in modern agriculture and tourist recreation.

It is planned to establish chain type cycle production system by combining with agriculture and livestock farming, set up scientific research base of modern agriculture including seed selection and breeding and form modern facilities for vegetable and flower such as thin film green house.

And it is also planned to build up a rational size of factories including organic composite fertilizer factory and assorted feed factory that can produce equipment and materials for agricultural production and place first processing facilities there to process agriculture and livestock products.

It is also planned to form sightseeing and yacht tourism using the big water area surrounding Kuri islet.
