Types of business: tourist service using favorable natural geographic condition of the Amnok River basin.

Chongsu tourist development zone is located in Sakju county, North Phyongan province, some parts of which facing with Dandong city, Liaoning province in China on the opposite side of the Amnok River.

It contains some parts of Pangsan ri, Sakju county and Chongsong workers’ district.

It will be developed as a zone equipped with modern tourist service facilities that retains Korean folk tradition.

It is planned to build bases for processing specialties, livestock  and fish farming with infrastructure and public facilities for its’ tourists and service facilities.

It will be the tourist area filled with orchards by planting lots of fruit trees of high breed such as peaches on the plain.

There are developing projects such as cultural entertainment area, comprehensive service district, Korean folk district and folk hotel. It is planned to build spring water factory, processing factory of fruits and wild vegetables, Kimchi processing factory, etc.
