By using the geographical advantage of zone that is near to Wonsan port, one of the major port on the East Sea of Korea, it is planned to build a development zone in combination with producing tourist souvenirs due to the fact that Wonsan Kalma coastal tourist special zone will turn into a global tourist region that majors in information industry and light industry.  

And also it plans to develop types of business that processes forest resources in Anbyon County and some other counties in Kangwon province.
