Kangryong international green model zone is located in the southwest region of Kangryong town, Kangryong county - a peninsular area ranging south and west of South Hwanghae Province.

The plan is to make this area as a model of green industry majoring in production of green goods and trade using the natural geographical condition of this region and to manage Kangryong County as a base of international green model by expanding its success and experience.

This area is advantageous to marine transport condition because it adjoins Haeju harbor.

There are about 8000 jongbo in area of available sea-culture and abundant marine resources such as trepang, ear-shell, shellfish, sea tangle, laver, blue crab, flatfish and the like.   

Dozens of reservoirs in the county have a good condition that can activate fresh water fish farming.

Also as a pollution-free region that is good for some agricultural products such as sweet potato it has a good prospect for pilot base of chain type agro-livestock cycle production system, organic local farm products and processing base as well as tourist service base 

As for the first stage of the development project, it forecasts to form a development zone of natural energy and environmental protection technology, research and dissemination base of green technology, and breeding and processing region of marine products in this pilot zone.
