1. Description of the project
1.1. Name of the project
Kangryong County Green Meat Processing Factory
1.2. Purpose
By treating 1 000 tons of pigs produced in Kangryong Pig Factory and 500 tons of ducks produced in the duck factory in Kangryong County, it is aimed to produce various processed meat products and also excrements coming out from meat processing course will be used for the producing of methane gas.
1.3. Location and Area
- Location: Kwangchon-ri, Kangryong County, South Hwanghae Province, DPRK.
Kwangchon -ri is positioned at 5km away from the town situated in the south west area in South Hwanghae Province.
- Area: Total site area:10 000m²
(Building area:5251m², Total floor area: 8863m²)
1.4. Advantages of the project
The factory will be constructed in Kwangchon–ri near from the town of Kangryong, South Hwanghae Province where an international green model zone will be developed.
Pig factory, pig breeding stock farm, duck factory that will be built in the same area will also provide meat products.
1.5. Current Situation
1.5.1. Infrastructure
- Since electric power line of 110kV is installed to the town, it is possible to supply electric power. Informatic and mobile telecommunication are operated by optical telecommunication network.
- Reservoir nearby provides the water source and there is plenty of underground water resource as well.
- Roads are organically linked to the main economic areas of the county through the roads separated from Grade 3 Kangryong-Ryongyon Line which is connected to Ongjin sub-county and Pyoksong sub-county as these sub-counties are connected to other areas of the country.
1.5.2. Withdrawal of household and enterprise
At present there are no withdrawal of household and enterprises in the construction area of the project, since the land is used for pig breading stock farm.
