It is planned to establish the intensive export and processing zone majoring in export oriented processing and knockdown industry in some parts of Ryongnam ri, Waudo district, Nampho city that is located in the water area of the West Sea Barrage where the West Sea of Korea and the Taedong River are gathered and also on both side of the road to the West Sea Barrage from Nampho harbor

This area has a good environment of investment attraction because of its progressive traffic condition such as harbor, railway and road.  

In the future, it is planned to build comprehensive economic development zone in combination with finance, tourism, real estate and foodstuff processing industry in some parts of Nampho city around Nampho harbor and in the water area of the West Sea Barrage that has a beautiful landscape.
