Jindo export and processing zone aims to manufacture various kinds of light industrial and chemical goods by importing raw materials duty free and export them abroad.

The Zone consists of some part of the West Sea Barrage’s water area of the Taedong River’s downstream where the Korean West Sea and the Taedong River flow into one and some areas in Ryongnam ri, Waudo district that is located on both sides of the road to the West Sea Barrage from Nampho city. 

It is planning to conduct bonded processing trade by using the advantageous regional superiority that adjoins Nampho harbor- a foreign trade port directly linked to China and Southeast Asia and the predominance of Pyongyang and Nampho cities that have an industrial history in the sector of machinery, electron, and light industry for decades as well as abundant labor forces. 

Enterprises launching in this region are accepted under the principle of energy saving and environmental protection.

It is expected to build a combined region of processing export trade and bonded processing by developing new products and industrial field, spreading them to other areas, encouraging processing export industry and realizing technical transfer from other countries.
