The compound ceramic cutting tool is made of silicon carbide single-crystal fibre and nano hard-porcelain materials with extremely high mechanical strength and strengthening efficiency.

The tool is used to cut at high speed such hard and tough materials as heat-treated steel, white cast iron, stainless tool, bearing metal and tool steel that are difficult to process with ordinary hard alloy tools. The cutting precision and surface finish are remarkably high, and the cutting efficiency is three to ten times higher than the hard alloy tools.
