It is planned to establish modern ADZ with a chain-circulation system majoring on fruit-farming, fruit processing and stock breeding.

Location: A part of area in Mundong-ri, Pudong-ri and Jongsan-ri in Pukchong County of East Coast of Southern Hamgyong Province. 

(East longitude: about 128° 15' North latitude: about 40° 8')

Condition of Infrastructure: Specialists of fruit-farming shall be employed since high educational institutions are located near to the area. Geographically, it mainly consists of rice field and cultivated field.

Project Plan: The zone has a suitable condition for fruit cultivation. Thus, modern agricultural site with chain circulation system combined with fruit farming and general fruit processing industry and stockbreeding will be established. The ADZ will extensively cultivate and export Pukchong apple which is a high-demand in Europe including Russia and Southeast Asia since apple has peculiar taste and convenient preservation. Not only fruit processing base in the zone but also Pukchong Fruit Processing Factory and Pukchong Fruit Machine Factory nearby the zone and abundant labor resources will be utilized for the development of fruit processing industry. Production system which uses fruits from all fruit farms around the zone as basic ingredients will be applied. Processing industry using medical herbs such as Atractylodes japonica, barrenwort (Epimedium Koreanum) and Tanggui and mountain resources such as Platycodon grandiflorum, Todok (Codonopsis lanceolata) and a songi mushroom (Armillaria edodes) growing in the area and east sea resources will be encouraged as well.
